Video Released Of Masked Man At Large After Nassau Gas Station Robbery

A new photo and video have been released by police investigators on Long Island as they attempt to locate a masked suspect who shimmied his way into a gas station and robbed it.

The Nassau County Police Department issued an alert last month following a burglary at BP Gas Station on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

This week, police released a new high-definition photo of the suspect's "Space Jam" t-shirt and a video of him rummaging through the inside of the gas station, stealing multiple items.

According to police, an employee arrived into work the day after the robber on Wednesday, Feb. 19 and noticed that several cigars had been removed from the boxes.

A review of the video determined that an African-American man entered the gas station through a security cash drawer at approximately 10 p.m. on Feb. 18. 

He then removed the cigars from the squeezed his way through the same security cash drawer, fleeing in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect was described as being African American with dreadlocks, a white shirt, black jeans and he was wearing a white bandana covering his face at the time of the robbery.
